So I had finally fell asleep by 3am and was awoken a few hours later by the familiar feeling I had experienced two nights before:

At 5:07am, August 11th (JST), an earthquake measuring at a magnitude of 6.6 on the Richter scale shook central Japan near Mt. Fuji.

This one seemed to be just as strong as the one the other night but did not seem to last as long.

The quake comes a day-and-a-half after a 6.9 magnitude quake shook the area. The area of Japan is also being pelted with rains and heavy weather from Typhoon #9 (Tropical Storm Etau), currently located directly south of the region. There are no reports yet of a connection between the events.

Nothing to fear though, everything's fine. Funny to have two strong earthquakes almost two days in a row...
